Narcissism

Is it narcissistic to have a blog – do people really want to read about the ins and outs of my life? That was the question posed by friends of mine when I told them of my plans to start blogging. I suppose in a way I am being a bit narcisstic, I always used to wonder whether I would be remembered when I’m gone, whether people would know who I was. I would often think about how many people would turn up at my funeral and would they cry?

I guess you don’t get more narcissistic than that!!!

But for me, blogging fulfills two needs – the need to write down my thoughts and feelings and the need to tell everyone about me, yes that’s what it’s all about me, me, me!

 I guess all people are a little bit narcissistic – if you’ve ever looked in a mirror you could be deemed it and even ugly people would have had a small peek from time to time.
